Homework Policy:  You may notice that your child has less homework this year, apart from his/her guided reading books.  The required time has been reduced to 20 mins per day for 2nd grade, following district guidelines.  Please view the [ http://conroeisd.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ElementaryHandbookEng.pdf ]student handbook for further grading policies.

Tuesday Folders
Each week we will send home class work and information in your child's Tuesday folder.  Please sign and return the weekly conduct sheet and other signature items.  Folders are due back Wednesday.

Homework Folders (starting in October)
Each Monday homework folders will be sent home with a reading activity choice board that can be used with your child's library or guided reading book.  Homework folders are due on Fridays.  Your child will receive a completion grade each report card period.
Please spend no more than 20 minutes per night on these activities.

Conduct
Each day your child is able to earn points for good behavior such as staying on task or helping others.  He/she may also lose points for misconduct. As your child earns points, he/she will be rewarded with Mustang Money which can be spent at the Mustang Store on specially scheduled days.  
(E-Excellent, S-Satisfactory, NI-Needs Improvement, U-Unsatisfactory).  The conduct grade will be available for you to see in the Tuesday Folder.
Parent contact will be made prior to your child receiving an NI or U.

Birthdays
*Please send your child to school by 7:45 am to be featured on the morning announcements. : )
*We have 21 students
*For your convenience, please drop off or send cookies with your child for an end-of-the day treat, if desired.  (We share lunch tables with another class).  Our class's favorite is chocolate chip or M&M! : )
