Library Volunteers
Our library welcomes parents and community members who are interested in helping the library in its mission to grow readers, life long learners, and explorers. Our library circulates over a thousand books each week, and our volunteers are a critical part of the library’s success. The work of our volunteers allows the librarian to spend time working with students in both whole class and small groups, provide reading guidance to students, collaborate with teachers, and complete the necessary tasks to manage the library program. Library volunteers have the unique opportunity to observe students get excited about reading as they search for the “just right” book and enjoy watching students collaborate in projects that challenge their thinking.
Interested in volunteering? Please follow the steps below to get signed up as a library volunteer:
1. Complete the Conroe ISD online volunteer form here: https://apps.conroeisd.net/volunteer/
2. Email Mrs. Patty at mpatty@conroeisd.net to set up a time to come in and learn about library policies and procedures, and discuss the library schedule.
We will occasionally have special events such as the fall and spring book fairs that require lots of help. Please email if you are interested in helping at a book fair!
